Disciplinary Board of Pennsylvania Appoints Nationally Recognized Philadelphia Attorney to Board

(Lemoyne, Pa.) – The Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania announces the appointment of nationally recognized family law attorney, Albert Momjian to a three-year term on the Disciplinary Board.
The Disciplinary Board is an independent agency funded by the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and consists of 16 members from across the state, of whom 14 are attorneys and two are non-lawyers. The Board assists the Supreme Court in carrying out its exclusive jurisdiction over the licensing and discipline of attorneys in Pennsylvania. The members meet regularly to decide on cases, policies and board administrative matters.
Momjian is a Partner at Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis LLP in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Chair of its Family Law Department. He joins the Disciplinary Board with a high level of experience with cases involving divorce and domestic relations, as well as recognition for his development and advancement of family law in the state of Pennsylvania.
“I’m honored to be on this important committee of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. Years ago, I served on the Professional Guidance Committee of the Philadelphia Bar Association and gave advice to attorneys who needed ethical guidance in their practice of law. Now, I will be involved in making decisions about lawyers who may not have listened to such guidance,” stated Momjian.
Momjian is actively involved in many committees, both legal and community related. He is the Honorary Consul for the Philadelphia Region for the Republic of Haiti, Vice President of Consular Corps of Philadelphia, and Board Member of the United Nations Association of Greater Philadelphia, just to name a few. Momjian’s extensive experience in family law has earned him much recognition including: Best Lawyers in America for family law, Best Lawyers in the U.S., Philly’s Best Attorneys, and Pennsylvania’s Top Ten Super Lawyers.
He has taught at numerous organizations including Temple University Law School, Widener University School of Law, Domestic Relations Association of Pennsylvania, Domestic Relations of Pennsylvania College of the Judiciary, and the Pennsylvania Bar Institute. In addition, he wrote, co-wrote, and edited literature on family law. Momjian received his B.A. from Columbia College, and his J.D. from Columbia Law School.

Retired Pittsburgh Lawyer Joins Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania

(Lemoyne, Pa.) – The Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania announces the appointment of attorney Stephan K. Todd.
The Disciplinary Board is an independent agency funded by the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and consists of 16 members from across the state, of whom 14 are attorneys and two are non-lawyers. The Board assists the Supreme Court in carrying out its exclusive jurisdiction over the licensing and discipline of attorneys in Pennsylvania. The members meet regularly to decide on cases, policies and board administrative matters.
Todd oversaw the legal affairs of the United States Steel Corporation, moving up the ladder to his final position as Vice President of Law and Environmental Affairs for the corporation. Throughout his career, he was responsible for environmental and international trade legal matters, real estate and asset redeployment. After 31 years, Todd retired in February 2007.
Prior to his position as attorney for a corporation, Todd served as an attorney with the rank of captain for the U.S. Army. He later retired from the Army Reserve with the rank of colonel.
“I am eager to work with the Board. I look forward to using the skills I’ve attained through the military and corporate environment to help the legal profession,” he explained.
Todd continues to stay involved in the legal profession and his community by serving as the President of the Allegheny County Bar Foundation; member of the Lutheran SeniorLife Foundation; member of Gwen’s Girls, an association that encourages young girls to have productive futures; and participant of Pittsburgh CLO, the driving force behind live musical theatre in Pittsburgh.
In addition, Todd is a former Governor of Allegheny County Bar Association, former board member of the American Corporate Counsel Association Chapter of Western Pennsylvania, and former member of the Neighborhood Legal Services Agency.
Todd received his J.D. from Valparaiso University School of Law, and his LL.M. from the University of Virginia School of Law.

Harrisburg Attorney Joins the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania

(Lemoyne, Pa.) – The Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania announces the appointment of R. Burke McLemore, Jr., a Partner at Thomas, Thomas & Hafer LLP in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. McLemore will serve a three-year term on the Disciplinary Board.
The Disciplinary Board is an independent agency funded by the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and consists of 16 members from across the state, of whom 14 are attorneys and two are non-lawyers. The Board assists the Supreme Court in carrying out its exclusive jurisdiction over the licensing and discipline of attorneys in Pennsylvania. The members meet regularly to decide on cases, policies and board administrative matters.
With more than 30 years of experience, McLemore provides legal expertise in the areas of administrative agency matters, Workers’ Compensation and Employment Law. As Chair of the Workers’ Compensation section of Thomas, Thomas & Hafer, his practice encompasses trial and appellate representation of clients throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
McLemore is thrilled to bring his previous trial experience to the Board. “I’m quite excited for this opportunity to help the profession,” McLemore stated. Ironically, while attending The Dickinson School of Law of The Pennsylvania State University, he interned for the Disciplinary Board. “It’s funny how things come full circle. This is an honor,” he affirmed.
McLemore was previously cited in Best Lawyers in America, and is recognized as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer. McLemore is former Chair of the Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation Council and former President of the Dauphin County Bar Association.
In addition, he was the 2007 recipient of the Dickinson School of Law’s Outstanding Alumni Award, and a coach and tournament director for soccer and baseball teams in the area.
Currently, he serves in the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s House of Delegates, actively participates within his church, holds the position of Vice President of the Camp Hill Borough Council, and serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Camp Hill Lion Foundation.
