Farmers’ Fair Graphic Design Poster Contest
Suasion is sponsoring a contest for high school students and adults (in two seperate categories) who want to show their graphic design talent! Design a poster that promotes the Dillsburg Farmers’ Fair! Posters will be judged by advertising professionals and will be on display in the Community Hall during Farmers’ Fair. So, show your talent and maybe win a little spending money!
Theme:
Poster must promote the Dillsburg Farmers’ Fair event. It can take any approach to communicate that people in central PA should attend the event. The challenge is to convey the fun and excitement of Farmers’ Fair in a way that is interesting and to the point. It may focus on just one aspect of Farmers’ Fair (such as a specific activity) or the event as a whole. It can be targeted to any demographic audience or to the mass market.
Rules:
- Contest is open to students in high school (grades 9-12) & adults 18 and up
- Poster must be in color
- Must be matted (matting should not exceed 10 1/2″ x 16″)
- Must be original work
- Posters should be 8 1/2″ x 14″
- Can be done on the computer or hand drawn
- No copyrighted items
- Must have wire for hanging (preferably attached with small nails or brads)
- Submit your poster to the Community Hall on October 11th or 12th from 6 pm - 9 pm or October 13th from 8 am - 11 am
Judging will be based on:
- Design & layout
- Use of color
- Use of the theme
- A clear message
- Creativity
- Neatness
Prizes:
- 1st: $100
- 2nd: $75
- 3rd: $50
